The adventures of Māui are front and center in Twiddle Productions new Cultural Storytelling and Video Game design class. This place based program brings the history and stories of Hawai’i to life while learning how to create video games!
Students are taken on a journey of talk story sessions with Cultural Practitioners, Professional Animators, Artists, and Game Designers which helps them to not only understand more of the world around them, but also teaches them the skills and logic of becoming a video game coder! Super exciting news!!! After three years from our short animated film's release we finally are able to announce that the Ola Nā Iwi: Hāloa Storybook is now available for pre-order both in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi and English. Mahalo to all involved for making this happen.
These short films are the results of many talented artists, writers, students, and cultural practitioners that worked together to create something special. We congratulate everyone for their dedication and hard work which made these films possible. During the summer of 1995, a mysterious and devastating fire broke out and destroyed the Kenosha Meadows Home for the Criminally Insane. 16 years later amongst it’s ruins, a patients journal was uncovered. Presented here in this “Coloring Book” is a small portion of it’s contents with the purpose to both inspire and terrify you. List Price: $19.99/ 8.5" x 11" (21.59 x 27.94 cm) /Black & White Bleed on White paper/ 96 pages *Luna-Tick is a dark and twisted tale and may not be suitable for everyone. We are excited to announce that "Maisa the Chamoru Girl who Saves Guåhan" will screen at this years Festival of the Pacific Arts which will held in Guam. We will update you on showtimes and dates as they become available.
Congratulations to all the team members in Hawai'i, Guam, and Ca. Your hard work and dedication to Maisa made this important story come to life. |
